Is it possible to earn a stipend during my internship/training?

Yes, if your host organization has offered you a stipend for your internship/training, you are allowed to accept this. However, please be aware that U.S. State Department rules and regulations prohibit you from receiving money through other forms of employment than your internship or training, such as part-time jobs. Any violations will result in immediate termination from the J-1 visa program and you will have to leave the U.S. right away.
