When is an “on-site visit” needed?

There are some circumstances in which the host organization will require an on-site visit to ensure that all of the U.S. State Departments for the proposed internship/training are met. If we have previously worked with your host organization on another J-1 visa application, this visit will not be needed anymore. However, should this be an organization new to our program, an on-site visit will be required if the organization has fewer than 25 employees OR less than 3 million USD annual revenue.
